Ultra Sevens Rugby heads to  Koro Island, Fiji for Peckham Cup Showdown in December

Fiji, a hotbed of the sevens genre, will play host to an Ultra Sevens game on December 22, 2012 on Koro Island, Fiji.

The match will feature the Nacamaki and Tuatua rugby clubs, playing before the beautiful backdrop of the world-renowned Koro Island in the South Pacific.

Inaugural Ultra Sevens Rugby Match

History will be made on Saturday, May 12, 2012 when traditional rivals the Wolverines(North Saskatchewan) and the Prairie Fire (South Saskatchewan) meet at the Regina Rugby Park ( 4025 - 25th Ave). The game kicks of at 4:30 pm and will be broadcast on the Access TV network. On hand to produce the game will be Canadian Rugby icon Gareth Rees. Rees played for several British club sides, including Wasps and Harlequins. He won 55 caps for Canada, captaining them on 23 occasions and scoring 487 test points, still a Canadian national record. In October 2011, Rees received arguably his greatest honour with induction to the iRB Hall of Fame. Rees has gone on to work as a rugby colour commentator for the Score, Sportsnet, TSN and BBC on various international rugby telecasts including the Rugby World Cup.
